Daily word search

One themed puzzle a day, the same for everyone who plays in English. A new puzzle starts at midnight in your time zone.

One themed puzzle a day

The daily word search is a single puzzle that changes once a day, at midnight in your own time zone. Each day has a theme, such as birds, weather or music, and all twelve words come from it. The grid is 12×12 and words run in all eight directions, backwards included, which puts it between medium and hard.

Everyone who plays in the same language on the same date gets the same grid, so you can compare results with friends. The theme of the day is the same in all 19 languages; the words are chosen from each language's own list. Every puzzle has a number: puzzle #1 was played on October 17, 2026.

Streaks and sharing your result

Solve the daily puzzle on consecutive days and your streak grows; your statistics keep both your current streak and your longest one. The result screen shows your time if the timer is on, your hints and a countdown to the next puzzle, and the share button prepares a short message with the puzzle number, time, hints and a link.

Some themes follow the calendar. Christmas appears only from December 1 to 26, Halloween in the second half of October and always on October 31, summer in June, July and August, and winter from December to February. The other themes take turns, and the same theme never appears two days in a row.

The archive

Missed a day? Open the archive from the top bar of the game. It shows a calendar for each month, with marks for the days you have played and solved, and you can open any earlier puzzle back to #1. Archive games are recorded as played, but they do not change your daily streak. Want more than one puzzle a day? Every theme page has unlimited new grids.

Daily puzzle: questions

When does the daily puzzle change?

A new daily puzzle starts at midnight in your local time zone. Everyone playing in the same language on the same date gets the same grid, and the theme of the day is the same in every language. Earlier puzzles are in the archive.

Do archive puzzles count toward my streak?

No. Archive games are recorded as played and solved in your statistics, but only the puzzle of the current day keeps your streak going.

Why does my friend abroad have a different puzzle?

The daily puzzle follows each player's local date. If your friend's time zone has already reached the next day, they are playing the next puzzle. Players using a different language also get a different grid, even when the theme is the same.
